Each of these sites contains a collection of publications available online in full text and/or provides extensive information about the STEM literature, such as a search engine or a bibliography.

The Buros Institute
" Publishers of the Mental Measurements Yearbook and Tests in Print series, the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements has supported advancements in testing practice since 1938 by publishing candidly critical reviews designed to support the informed selection of commercially available tests." The website allows keyword searches for tests and online ordering of the reviews.

Division of Science Resource Statistics
This is a clearinghouse for data collected, analyzed and distributed by the National Science Foundation.

ETS Test Collection
" The collection is the largest in the world. It was established to make information on standardized tests and research instruments available to researchers, graduate students, and teachers." The site hosts a searchable database of tests, along with descriptions and contact information. Some tests may be downloaded directly from the site for a fee.

National Center for Education Statistics
" NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations." NCES makes available extensive longitudinal data from educational testing projects, most notably the Nation's Report Card.

National Institute for Science Education
" The National Science Foundation's National Institute for Science Education (NISE) was funded in 1995 for five years as a cooperative agreement. NSF directed the Institute to 'address the totality of the [science] education enterprise, to assess its effectiveness, and examine what new activities need to be established, what activities are no longer needed, and what new approaches will enhance science education." With these goals in mind, NISE has made their occasional papers, research monographs, workshop reports & proceedings, and briefs available for download.

National Science Digital Library
" NSDL is a digital library of exemplary resource collections and services, organized in support of science education at all levels." Among the collections is the Gender and Science Digital Library, searchable by multiple criteria.

Practical Assessment, Research, and Evaluation
" Practical Assessment, Research and Evaluation (PARE) is an on-line journal supported, in part, by the Department of Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, College Park." Includes full text articles on technical aspects of conducting research and assessment.

Women in Science Bibliography
This is an extensive listing of web, print, and audio visual resources on women in science, including children's books.

The home page includes links to references on every aspect of women's studies. Of particular interest here is the section on women and science/math/technology.
